Times are tough and making your kids smile can take an awful lot of effort. Kids can be demanding sometimes and they may have a hard time accepting the fact that they can’t have the nicest and newest games on the market. Never fear! There are many ways you can put on smile on your kids face, from cheap, fun toys to fun adventures for the whole family.

One of the best places to find cheap play things for children is at a pawn shop. These shops inspect each item to make sure it works properly before selling. Take your children to a nice shop, such as a charity based pawn shop. Take them to the children’s section and let them pick out a few cheap items to take home. Sometimes you can find really cool things for kids in these shops. If you don’t, turn the “pawn shop search” routine into a regular weekly habit until you do.

Take your kids out to a fun, themed restaurant once a month. Themed restaurants are a great way for kids to eat and have fun. Pick a restaurant that caters specifically to children. Choose one that has entertainers, video games and party deals. These restaurants are especially useful for birthday parties. Another great way to have fun with your kids is to take them to an open air festival. These festivals occur during the spring and summer for a variety of reasons. Make sure to pick a festival that is kid friendly. Often, these festivals are free to attend with the only expense coming from buying food, drinks or other fun festival items.
